I have consistently read the Joona Linna series. I thought the addition of an ongoing antagonist was too close to silence of the lambs series. I did like some of the tricks that were played by the antagonist but Jugen (I think, I've even forgotten his name). However the character didn't have enough unique traits to stand apart from Hannibal.
